The AK-47 Assault Rifle
AK-47
This is a fine weapon. It is relatively cheap to manufacturer because it has a machine-stamped receiver, rahter than one ground out on a lathe, which costs more money, time and electricity. That is something that it shares with the UZI, it too is stamped; not poured into a mold and ground to specifications.

Mikhail Kalashnikov, Lt. General.
Engineer, Soldier
The greatest contribution an inventor can make to the betterment of mankind is to design a
new, or improve an existing weapons system. Comrade Hero Kalashnikov did both, and
some would argue that the world is a better place as a result of his brilliant
efforts. Now almost anyone, anywhere, with an agenda, plot, conspiracy,or mission
can acquire one of the 100 million of his rifles in circulation and kill enemies wholesale
with it.
Naturally I have my own AK (see below), so there are only
99,999,999 of his rifles left to go around if you need one.
They're very reasonably priced, at just 18 or 19 Euros in Africa and in the West Bank, and
a couple of hundred Euros in the United States. In Sud America, if you're a
communist or drug trafficker, they're usually free, so its a real cost effective solution
to delivering a high-rate of volume of fire on a target.

This model of a Kalashnikov Assault Rifle is a fine, fine
weapon, fitted with tactical black hardware and a folding stock for convenience. I'm
not excessive with my semi-automatic weapons fire needs, so my AK is not fitted with a
ridiculous 90 round drum, or a crazy 50 round banana clip; the standard issue 30 round
ammunition magazine has suited my needs perfectly fine. And I don't do that stupid
duct-taped upside down extra clip thing either. If you have half a brain and go to
the prone position while firing at a target with taped together magazines, you'll bang-up
or dent the downward facing magazine, damaging the clip or the ammunition at the top of
its feed. But please, if you prefer to fire standing, by all means, proceed...
This video is graphic and demonstrates the necessity of selecting a good tactical
position.
